Aeroméxico is excited to announce new nonstop routes connecting Mexico City to Nassau, Bahamas, and Montego Bay, Jamaica, beginning in March 2027. This milestone means travelers will no longer need to make connections through the United States or Panama, simplifying access to these beautiful Caribbean destinations. The direct flights will operate three times a week to each location, allowing for easier planning for vacations or family visits.
The Mexico City to Montego Bay route is set to commence on March 18, departing on Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Flights will leave Mexico City at 9:20 a.m., landing in Jamaica at 2 p.m., with returns scheduled for 3:15 p.m. The following day, March 19, the route to Nassau will start, with departures on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, taking off at 9:10 a.m. and arriving in the Bahamas by 3:00 p.m.
Both routes are still pending approval from relevant authorities but are anticipated to be operated by a 737 MAX 8 aircraft, which accommodates 166 passengers. This expansion marks Aeroméxico’s commitment to enhancing travel options and increasing connectivity from Mexico City, building on existing services to destinations such as Punta Cana and Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic and Havana in Cuba.
Chief Executive Officer Andrés Conesa expressed enthusiasm for these new offerings, highlighting how they will bring passengers closer to iconic locations while strengthening the airline’s position in the international market. Senior Vice President of Global Sales Giancarlo Mulinelli noted the variety of tourism and cultural experiences now more accessible to travelers, reinforcing the airline’s dedication to providing exceptional travel options.
As Holy Week approaches in 2027, Aeroméxico plans to provide over 4,000 weekly seats for travelers eager to visit the Caribbean, reflecting the airline’s ongoing efforts to cater to the needs of its customers.
